Sometime in the 2000s, before the official launch of its LEAF division, Arc'teryx scored a handful of US Military contracts to help develop products for the US Marines. Under this program, the brand produced a small run of outerwear dawning Mossy Oak testing a brushed fleece Gore-Tex fabric designed to reduce noise and enhance stealth. The run mostly consisted of the bibs seen here, alongside jackets labeled under the Marmot brand. Though they were never fully issued or released to the public, a handful were listed on US Military Auctions, landing in the hands of whoever was lucky enough to score them. However, Arc’teryx did produce a handful of jackets under its own label. Rumored to be less than two-dozen in existence, remaining a white whale amongst serious LEAF collectors and enthusiasts, with only a single photoset existing online.
